The Sea Urchins have also appeared on a Japanese Sarah compilation, In This Place Called Nowhere on the Quattro label. The song featured was Pristine Christine. The Rough Trade Shops compilation Indiepop vol 1 on Mute also features Pristine Christine. Pristine Christine also appears on the CD86 compilation, compiled by Bob Stanley and released on Castle, to coincide with a documentary film and exhibition about C86 and the birth of indiepop. Solace appears on the 5 CD box set Scared to Get Happy: A Story of Indie-Pop 1980-1989 on Cherry Red Records. There could also be other compilations I don't know about - if anyone knows of any releases I haven't mentioned please get in touch. I'm aware of a few Sea Urchins cover versions - You're So Much by Uni (on A Smile Took Over double 7" of Sarah Records covers, released by Matinee Recordings), Sullen Eyes by The Tyde (7" on Sub Pop) and Please Rain Fall by Birdie (from Reverb Deluxe cd on Apricot Records). If you know of any more Sea Urchins or Delta covers please get in touch. |
