JAMES ROBERTS It's All Made Light CD Single (Dell'orso)

James Roberts is due to start recording a second solo album any time soon, but in the meantime there is this two track single which includes a reworking of a song from the Everything You Know Is Right album and a track exclusive to this single. It's All Made Light features slightly different instrumentation from the album version and has lost the backing vocals from Allison Brice, but is similar enough to give anyone unfamiliar with the album a taster of the sort of songs to be expected from it. An astonishingly well-crafted and addictive song. When It's All Been Undone is a minimal track with just James' voice and an acoustic guitar, but is of such high songwriting quality that it proves James' songs can stand up perfectly well on their own without all the studio effects that characterised the album. Absolutely fantastic stuff - I eagerly await the second album which will hopefully be out some time later in the year.
