This page includes highlights from selected past issues of Aquamarine. Regular readers will notice this page contains different content from before (it used to contain material from the old paper version of Aquamarine, whilst all online issues were on another page). I decided to give the whole site an overhaul in Jan 2010 and remove a lot of material that was outdated, relating to music and zines that are no longer available. See the 'about' page for more on this.

As of 2014 I have been having a bit of a rethink. In many cases, I feel I made the right decision - having masses of reviews on the site of ephemeral things like demos and fanzines that have been unavailable for years and probably next to impossible to find on the second hand market just serves to detract from the current focus of the zine. With other things however, I now wonder whether I may have been a bit too hasty in removing them. With the current explosion of interest in indiepop in general and Sarah Records in particular, I thought maybe some people may actually be interested in reading some of the material from early issues of Aquamarine, including interviews with people like Matt of Sarah Records, Stewart of Boyracer, Julian of Ivy, and Heavenly, and various other bits and bobs connected to Sarah and wider indiepop. If I get enough requests from people to reinstate this early archival material, I may consider doing so.

In the meantime, this section is now primarily a repository for material from back issues of the online version of Aquamarine. Selected articles from the Sea Urchins/Delta section that used to be on this site have also been relocated to this page.

Whilst this new Archive section contains more recent material than the old Archive section, much of the material here is still a few years old, so I can't guarantee that everything here will still be available or that contact details will still be in use, but it's worth trying to get in touch with the bands/labels just in case.
